Lipsy SS14 Press Event

Time to get your girl glam on.

I know this is pretty late, but wow, the past few weeks were crazy for me! I was packed with deadlines, video shoots and press events! Things are finally slowing down again giving me just enough time to catch my breath. For now, Let's talk Lipsy SS14!

For the Lipsy press event, I went for a slightly edgy look, putting on a Lipsy leather jacket, a lovely Lipsy top with a lace detail, and those slimming discolored Lipsy Jeans. They are all from the SS14 collection, so you'll probably still find them in store! I thought an edgy outfit definitely needs statement heels, so I wore my Guess shoes to complete my grunge look. To add a quirky touch to the outfit, I added a little black bow tie.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Lipsy SS14 collection. It had a lot of gorgeous pieces. What I liked the most, is that they had a lot of variety. Every trend had a lovely story behind it to explain.

Flower Press is perfect for that first date! With all that lace it has a romantic feel to it. The dresses are not too short, so its more on the elegant side rather than sexy.

Patisserie is for a girl who likes to dress sexy, but with a playful twist. Its mix of vibrant colours and prints adds a naughty element to the collection.

Then there was Monochromatic, which doesn't go for the usual blacks and whites. Instead it mixes a lot of nudes with black, and bright neon colous. It's for that bolder girl, who doesn't mind all eyes on her at all times - the life of the party. Sadly I don't have an image to show that collection clearly. SO I'll move on to the next one.

The VIP range was stunning as usual. I particularly liked their new range White Label. They are the short dresses in the VIP range that you can see below. The first one on the left was their best seller! I'm not surprised, since it has that classic glamour feel.

Last but not least, the ever so famous Kardashian Kollection. Each one of the sisters incorporated her unique style within the range. Khloe does a lot of mix and match, with prints and colour blocking. Kim goes for the sexier designs, with a lot of lace and leather in nudes, blacks and whites. Apparently she gets her inspiration from lingeries. Kourtney's range, which is my personal favorite, goes for a rocker-chic feel, with edgy patterns, leather, and vibrant colors.

The venue, Nawwara, was stunning with a bit of glitz and glam to give that Lipsy atmosphere. It was a fun event in general where everyone was bonding over some good beats, and lebanese pastries.
