SS14 Craze

If you can't find it, make it.

Last week was crazy in terms of work. It's that time of the year again where newness is launched into our favourite brands, and with that comes Press Events! One of the brands I work for, Koton, had it's SS14 collection launch on Tuesday. I'll definitely be posting about that in depth very soon. I also had another exciting event that I got to attend; which was a Blogger's Meet at Cavalli Club, organized by WeTrendStyle.com. I'll be posting about that too to give you the inside scoop!

For now, let me show off that awesome maxi cardigan I made.

I would definitely consider it as one of my major current obbsessions. Sadly though, they are hardly available anywhere around Dubai. That's when I decided, "If you can't find it, make it." I went on with selecting the right patterns, and accessorized it with studded shoulder pads. And ended up making two designs instead of one! You really get carried away when you're having fun..
Here's my first one, that has a more casual feel to it.

RedFestDXB Vol: II

A bit of neon goes a long way.

RedFestDXB came to an end last night with Mark Ronson at the main stage. Personally, he was the highlight of yesterday' performances, followed by Naughty Boy, John Newman and then The Lumineers. Unfortunately I missed Rita Ora's performance, but I heard it was great.

I wore my badass boots from H&M yesterday, with a high-waist black pants, and a white crop top, that has a bird pattern on it. I added the neon pink crop blouse under it to add a bit of colour, and matched my socks to them. It's a bit of a quirky outfit, but it worked for me.

RedFestDXB Vol: I

The girl who was mistaken to be a little boy.

I dedicate this post to my awesome denim jumpsuit. I got this gorgeous baby from Zara for only 95 AED in their end of season sale last weekend. The best bit was that it was the last piece, and my size. Yep, I was meant to buy it. It's in that moment that I started to believe in destiny. I thought The first day of RedFestDXB was a great opportunity for their debut.
I paired it with my classic Timberland boots. And then everyone started to mistake me for a little boy. It's alright 'cause I don't care; I LOVE IT!

In terms of the music festival, I had a good time with a great group of friends. Tinie Tempah was great, but the highlight for me was definitely Jessie J. She was simply phenomenal; and of course stunning. Looking forward to see how tomorrow goes, Really excited about The Lumineers, John Newman and Rita Ora.

Lazy Thursdays

Dressing it down.

Dubai weather is seriously weird. It started getting really hot the past week,  but then overnight--BOOM! SURPRISEEE! IT'S WINTER AGAIN! It was really getting to me, and I felt too sick to get out of bed this morning. So I ended up taking a sick leave, popping pills and trying to get my self sorted out before the weekend officially starts. It's all good now. Feeling way better and refreshed. It's still pretty cold though, but I'm now mentally prepared again.

I usually dress down than really dress it up, so this is my usual look; something comfortable, yet keeping it a bit stylish. It's what I call the I-look-like-I-didn't-try-but-I-really-honestly-did look. And since I'm a hobbit by nature, I'm now hooked on those 'sneaky sneakers' that have a hidden wedge. Yea, I know it doesn't do much; but it gives me that added confidence boost about my height. Oh, and of course, my awesome backpack. It makes all the difference.
